YOU MUST GET ALONE
“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
If we are ever going to be strong Christians, we are going to have to find some alone time with God. If we are ever going to receive the blessing God has for us, we must get alone.
Before Jacob ever come to a face to face encounter with Jesus, before he ever received a name change and was blessed, he had to get alone. The first step to Jacobs blessing was getting disconnected from everything. We live in a world today, where we feel we must always be connected. You can’t even have a conversation with another person today without them looking at their phone. Some people spend their entire day texting, tweeting, facebooking or with some other form of media in their ear. And we must realize, we can never get truly connected with Christ until we get disconnected from everything else. When you first wake up in the morning, don’t go straight to Facebook, instead get your face in The Book. Don’t wake up looking for comments or likes from the world, instead look for the One who woke you up and talk with Him. Child of God, wake up with a new song in your heart,
“I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses..”
Listen dear friend, there is nothing sweeter than hearing that still small voice!
So today, get disconnected from everything else and get connected to Jesus Christ. Stop all the noise and let God speak to you. For blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.”
(Proverbs 8:34). You will never be the Christian God intends for you to be until you first get alone. Get away from all the noise for in quietness and confidence is your strength says the Holy One of Israel. If you want to behold God closer than you ever have before and receive the blessing you need today, you must get alone!
