Luke 15:20 “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

One story I have heard consistently throughout my life, even as a child, is the story of the prodigal son. It would seem that almost every time it is mentioned, we tend to look more at either the prodigal son or his brother. I want to take a moment to look at his father. As the above verse shows us, this father was compassionate and he reminds us of how good our Heavenly Father is to us. Even though we may sin and fail him daily, we have a Good Father who is right there waiting for us to return. He is full of compassion, mercy, and grace. As you go throughout today, take a moment and think about how Good God has been to you!

  1. Oh brother how good he has been to me. Far beyond what I deserve! To give up his life for the likes of me is beyond my comprehension!
