         Jeremiah 18:4-6

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. [5] Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [6] O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

(Marred – ruined)

Micah 7:18
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

(Retaineth not his anger )

Jonah 3:10
And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

(God repented – turned from what he was going to do)

Psalm 103:8-13
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. [9] He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. [10] He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. [11] For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. [12] As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. [13] Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

(chide – scold or rebuke )

One problem I think we as Christians have is letting it go. Repenting and forgetting of the mistakes and sins we’ve made. We tend to hold on to our mistakes and failures and use them as excuses.
To err is human but to forgive is divine. In other words nobody has gone without making a mistake or sinning but to forgive someone or forgive ourselves is acting or being like our gracious and merciful savior.
You see as a father we will definitely have to punish our children for some things they will do, but we love them so much we will forgive them and forget about it and what a special thing when your child returns and says “I love you daddy “and we move forward. God pity’s us ( he has compassion for his children) he loves us and wants us to get up and move on towards the purpose he has for us , all we have to do is ask him for his forgiveness and it’s gone as far as the East is from the West !!

John 5:8
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

So get up shake the dust off and let’s go !!
Have a great day ,
