Psalm 1:1-3 KJV
[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Jeremiah 17:8 KJV
[8] For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

5.Trees ad value

• A mature tree can often have an appraised value of between $1,000 and $10,000.
• In one study, 83% of realtors believed that mature trees have a ‘strong or moderate impact’ on the marketability of homes listed for under $150,000; on homes of over $250,000, this perception increases to 98%.
• Landscaping, especially with trees, can increase property values by as much as 20%.
• Healthy, mature trees add an average of 10 percent to a property’s value. Nationally, the 60 million street trees have an average value of $525 per tree.

As Christians we ought to be a valuable asset while living on earth . We just read about some of the valuable assets of trees, now I would like to show you some valuable assets of the Christian life:

1. Generosity

Proverbs 22:9 KJV
[9] He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

2. Courage

Joshua 1:9 KJV
[9] Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

3. Love

1 John 4:19 KJV
[19] We love him, because he first loved us.

4. Respect

1 Peter 2:17 KJV
[17] Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

  1. Peace
    Romans 14:19 KJV
[19] Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Generosity , courage , love , respect , peace ,all these ad value to the Christian life and allow others to see Jesus in us.
Just as the trees ad value to the earth we ought to also ad some value to this earth while we are living on it . Today would be a great day to increase in value and use some of these God given assets we have been given and maybe another will come to know our Lord and savior Jesus Christ .

Have a blessed day
Barry
