Exodus 15:25
And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

Often times in our life we come to bitter waters. God did not promise us a tip toe  through the tulips, but rather a trip through poison ivy. The only way to The promised land is through the wilderness. Jesus said,”In this world you will face much tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.”When Moses and The children of Israel come to these bitter waters, they fail to see the remedy. All they can see is the bitter water. Isn’t it amazing that God had to show Moses the tree? When you are in those bitter water experiences – it is hard to see what God is doing- All you can see is the puddle of disappointment, shattered dreams, pain, betrayal, failures, but all the while just beyond there is a tree that God has already planted. Oh dear friend- Trees don’t grow overnight!!! God has already walked before the children of Israel and planted a tree. Think about it- somewhere in the distant past God had allowed a seed to break through that hard ground, caused it to rain on that spot, and it grew day after day. All because in Gods divine providence,  He knew one day in the future His children would drink bitter water!!
BEFORE one sip of bitter water, before they passed through the Red Sea, before Moses even showed up in their Egypt, before the waters turned to blood, THE TREE WAS ALREADY PLANTED!!! BEFORE Anyone seen the tree, knew they needed it, or how it would work- IT WAS ALREADY THERE! Before you got your doctors diagnosis, before your wife ever left you, before you ever got that Bill in the mail, before you ever got that court order, before the enemy attacked you- THE TREE WAS ALREADY THERE!!! I know the water might be bitter right now but there is a tree that’s already been planted!!! Look to the hills which cometh your help –  and you will find a tree that was planted over 2000 years ago on a hill called Calvary. When you face the bitter waters, just go to that tree and stick it in the middle of your bitter water and it will become sweet! Thank God for the TREE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PLANTED!
