Luke 23:34
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Like a Lamb before the shearers, Jesus was stripped of all his dignity, of all His worth. The soldiers stripped him of all his clothes leaving Jesus to hang naked before the world. Nakedness is a picture of the guilt, dread,  and shame that comes with sin. When Adam and Eve first sinned in the garden, they realized their nakedness and were so afraid. Jesus allowed himself to be stripped and hung in complete humiliation, carrying all of our guilt and shame – so that we could be clothed in His righteousness and never have to deal with guilt and shame again! When you look at the cross, remember what Jesus did for you- He took your shame so you could be robed in His name!
Hallelujah – Thank you Jesus!πŸ™ŒπŸ’―
