1 Kings 17:7
And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

In the middle of the drought, God blessed Elijah by leading him to the Brook called Cherith. The brook provided Elijah’s need in the midst of this terrible drought. Our God is able to provide a table in the wilderness. No matter our drought, depression, or defeat- God is able to provide what we need. Elijah experiences the graceful and wonderful provision of God in midst of impossible circumstances.
BUT THEN THE BROOK DRIED UP! What do you when the very thing that God blesses you with, He takes away? We might be inclined to sulk or whine, but what good would it do to cry where it’s dry. Don’t whine over what you did have, walk after what you will have. Elijah continues to walk by faith and God had something even better than the brook- he had a barrel! God dried up his brook to bake him a cake! Just remember dear friend, sometimes when God takes things He originally blessed you with, it’s only to give you something better! God giveth and God taketh- blessed be the name of the Lord! 🙌🙌🙌#Godworksallthingsforgood
