Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”

Prayer is not a battering ram in which we gain entrance into God’s treasury. But rather is a receptacle by which receive that which he already longs to give us. We do not impress God into hearing our prayers, we compress ourselves and then he hears our prayer. Psalm 10:17 says, “Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear. So when you pray don’t exalt your flesh, just humble your heart!
