In 1994 I signed on to become a firefighter. The journey to be recognized as an official fireman had many requirements and prerequisites. There was first an application process in which you were selected. Then came a written exam to see if you qualified and still yet a physical fitness process to make sure you were fit enough for the job. After all these were meet and passed you then proceeded to a recruit class similar to that of a boot camp were a series of physical training and still yet more testing to be qualified for the job. The state of Mississippi has certain requirements that must be met before they will sign off on your firefighter status and then the city in which you are working for still yet has another set of pre requisites that they want. After a long and exhausting year of working and training and testing and being treated as an outsider just a lowly “recruit” (enlisted but not yet fully trained) finally comes the day, were you get all cleaned up and put on your official dress uniform proceed to the ceremony and receive your badge ! An honorary first class firefighter, you are now accepted and join the family of firefighters that have been through the same process you have.
Now I have said all that to come to this , I am so glad that God didn’t look down on all of us and have an application and testing process and a series of weeding out the ones that were not worthy to be in his family, because I would have certainly failed the process and so would you. God had us in mind to join his family before we were ever born.
Ephesians 2:12-13
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
God sent his son and he did it all so that we could join in on this family of God , the only requirement to join is
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 16:30-31
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
No application
No test
No physical agility
He’s taking all the test for you he’s passed the physical he is qualified and by his blood your accepted . Come get your badge and when the father looks to see who will be accepted ,he will see that badge !! The blood of Jesus and
you are now in with your dress uniform and qualified because of his sacrifice for you .
Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
